Amol Parulekar deviated from the family business of being wealthy and successful in order to pursue his career as a screenwriter after winning the 2002 UTA Screenwriting award for his script, Penguinz, that he co-wrote with Paul Malewitz. In college, he helped start the University of Michigan's online comedy rag, Every Three Weekly (www.everythreeweekly.com), during which time he never got laid.
A renowned penny pincher, Amol can often be found calculating interest on loans he’s given out to other members of whitepeople.tv. For his dollar, there is no finer clothing material than flannel, unrivaled in its softness, warmth, and hideousness. He deplores writing about himself because he is seemingly uninteresting and detests blogs and bloggers for that very reason.
